Midnight to Dawn

After midnight Car 2 Gadget Racing had a problem that took one and a half hours to diagnose.  Wayne Cowling reported that it was the cam nose being pushed forward causing the bob weights to foul.  Once diagnosed they were able to get back into the race.

Exactly the same problem happened on Car 67 Lucky Jon; Wayne saved them the diagnose time by identifying the problem.

There were less blown engines than last year although Car 1 Dead End Racing blew theirs.

Tete Rouge mechanics said they had no real problems during the night "just little things like the exhaust coming loose. Oh, and Colin Whiteley losing the steering wheel when he was driving."

At 1 a.m. Ramageddon was in the lead, with Tete Rouge second, Mardi Gras up to third, Rocket Dog fourth and Yellow Peril fifth.

At 2 a.m. Ramageddon and Tete Rouge were still first and second, Rocket Dog had moved up to third, Mardi Gras fourth and Yellow Peril retaining fifth.

At 3 a.m. Ramageddon and Tete Rouge were holding onto first and second, Mardi Gras was up to third, Rocket Dog back to fourth and Yellow Peril still fifth.

At 4 a.m. the first five positions were the same Ramageddon first, Tete Rouge second, Mardi Gras third, Rocket Dog fourth, Yellow Peril fifth.

At 5 a.m. Ramageddon and Tete Rouge were still first and second, Rocket Dog was third, Yellow Peril up to fourth and MRB Racing up to fifth.

At 6 a.m. Ramageddon and Tete Rouge were first and second, Rocket Dog third, Yellow Peril fourth and Mardi Gras fifth.

Then it started to rain.
