Endurance Races - Each car has to stop for a driver change during the course of the race. Any drivers on their own have to simulate the change by getting out of the car and running round it before getting back in.

Pete Sparrow led from the start and pulled away from the other cars lap by lap; behind him there were closely fought tussles for positions 2-4 and 5-7.

Cars 11 (Panas/Mason) and 8 (Cardell-Williams/Storey) fought it out for 2nd and 3rd place.   Grease Monkey Racing, Zoe Cardell-Williams and the Hollises in close contention.

After 20 minutes the time window opened for the teams to change drivers. Speed is of the essence because races can be won or lost during the changeover.

Richard Hollis took over from Matthew; Andy Kinch ran round the car to simulate the change.
Ainslie Bousefield took over from Wayne Cowling as Mick Storey took over from Pete Cardell-Williams.

During the race planes continued to take off and land at the Pembrey airfield, which is next to the race circuit.

The race continued to be closely fought.

The changeover shuffle gradually straightened out then it was back to the same 1-2-3 positions.

The race marshalls work at several circuits. One of the lady marshalls was at the 24-hour race at Snetterton two weeks ago.

Graham Wallace (6) took a tow for several laps from the leader Gary Adnitt (28).       Gary Adnitt, second driver for car 28, takes the chequered flag.

The winners enjoyed their moment. Pete Sparrow has made a clean sweep so far this year, but can he keep it up?
