The Sprint Race

It was an exciting race, which had to be restarted after Matthew Hollis (4) lost control coming up to the pits and took Andrew Smith (6) out. Both drivers were OK and, after some speedy work by the mechanics, Andrew was able to join the restarted race from the pit lane.

The results of the restarted ten lap race were 1, Pete Spaarrow (28); 2, Wayne Cowling (2); 3, Pete Cardell-Williams (8); 4 Gary Adnitt (63); 5 Simon Pearson (69); 6, Steve Panas (11); 7 Trevor Williams (7); 8 Andrew Smith (6); 9 Richard Hollis (5), 10, Shaun McLaughlin (62); 11, Andy Kinch (46).

Zoe Cardell (37) did not finish; Matthew Hollis (4) did not join the restarted race.

Under a cloudy sky the cars were off and a highly competitive race got under way.

Matthew Hollis (4) loses control coming up to the pits and takes Andrew Smith (6) out. For safety reasons the race was stopped at this point.	Mechanics got to work on Andy's car while waiting for the track to be cleared ready for the race restart.	Matthew's car was towed out of the way. The damaged wheel on Andy Smith's car was replaced in time for him to join the restarted race from the pit lane.

The grid lined up again, this time for a ten lap race, Andy Smith joined the race from the pit lane.

Pete Sparrow (28) managed to pull away once again, behind him there was a real scrap for second place between Wayne Cowling and Pete Cardell-Williams.

Pete Sparrow finished in first place.	Wayne Cowling was second, closely followed by Pete Cardell-Williams third.	Trevor Williams was in 7th place.
