• When Paul Robertson spun in Race 1, his head light fell out. Rather than leave it by the track he got out and threw it to Sammy who was spectating. She caught it and he got back in the car and finished 13th!
• Both Hollis cars had engine timing problems in qualifying 1 and pitted. They were sent out by a marshal after qualifying had finished to tour round back into the paddock. However, they were promptly stopped at the end of the pit road and told to push their cars all the way back up the pit road hill!
• Peter Wann only finished building his new car the night before. His engines were untested. His first one only managed Qualifying 1 and his second leaked oil all race long. He still finished both races though!
• New boy Graham Taylor started the race in 3rd gear!
• Matthew Hollis was disqualified from the first qualifying for being 10kg underweight. He was sent to the back of the grid with a 10 second penalty and told to eat more pies!
• Richard Hollis' fuel cap bounced down the road in race 1 on lap 2. He retired the next lap with no way to stop the fuel falling out!
