• Steve Panas decided to take things easy in the race and so exited Gerrard's at around
  20mph for the first few laps. When he eventually got bored of this he sped up, and over took every one up 8th in about 3 laps, (somebody said something about fuel starvation?).
• Richard Hollis blew a hole in the piston after one lap in qualifying after experimenting with NitrousOxide. The last part of that's a joke.
• Jon Twidale was told by certain drivers/ex-drivers to take all corners in 3rd gear in qualifying. So he did. He was correctly advised to use 4th for the race after they realised he wasn't laughing.
• Pete Sparrow was suggesting as usual that late night drinking would result in a better race performance. All the drivers promptly when to bed and only one was stupid enough to listen to him and stay up. Neither were in the top 9 on race day.
• Christian Callander will happily model very small short for you if ask. This was evident at Mallory Park on Saturday night and is solely one for the ladies.
