ANNUAL DINNER DANCE
And Prizegiving
Saturday 13th January 2007
At
The Fairlawns
Little Aston Road
Aldridge
Over 60 guests turned out and dressed up for the annual Dinner Dance and Award Presentation to celebrate another extremely successful year of 2CV Racing.
It kicked off early in the afternoon with members turning up and heading off straight for the bar! By 7pm the bar was packed with super smart guests and a decent meal followed. New and old faces were present and the atmosphere was very good, with talks of legendary teams forming to take on the new endurance format of the championship, (Sparrow/Findlay!?!).
Chairman Trevor Williams kicked off proceeding with a very short speech and launched straight into the trophy awarding. Full listings of this and photos will follow in Snails Pace very soon but the main winners were Hollis Motorsport of Matthew, Nigel and Richard Hollis taking the (invisible) Team Trophy, Simon Leith the Endurance Trophy and Pete Sparrow collecting the Sprint Trophy and the overall Championship Trophy, crowning him the 2006 2CV Racing Champion. Well done Pete!
Dancing and drinking followed till the early morning in true 2CV Racing style. Yet another great Dinner Dance. Thanks go to Trevor and the organisers. Now raise your glasses, I propose a toast to 2007 2CV Racing!
