after a blistering qualifying session, was passed by Peter Sparrow
(28), Richard Hollis (9) and Wayne Cowling (4).

Sparrow (28) was leading with Richard Hollis (9) second. The picture

Pete Sparrow retained the
lead in lap 2, but Christian Callander had recovered from his shaky
start and was a close second, with Richard Hollis in third place.

Pete Sparrow stayed
in the lead, followed by Christian Callander and Richard Hollis,
the leading three cars were pulling away from the rest of the
field.
Wayne Cowling was still in
fourth place, Simon Leith (91) was fifth with 15 Trevor Williams
(15) right behind him getting a tow [see picture above right];
Andy Smith (6), Steve Panas (7), Aubrey Brocklebank (20) and Oliver
Hall (90) were all close behind.
