Race Review

Gary Adnitt dominated racing at Oulton Park, taking a second consecutive victory of the season together with pole position and fastest lap. He brought the No 2 car home 11 seconds ahead of his nearest rival, leaving many scratching their heads at what can be done to catch him this year

Qualifying took place in sunny weather. Once again, Gary Adnitt took pole, followed closely by Pete Sparrow making a welcome return to 2CV racing. Mick Storey's impressive run continued with a third spot on the grid. Weather conditions caught made competitors on the hop as the heavens opened just before the start of the race.

The greasy track made for plenty of race incidents: Phil Myatt, Wayne Cowling and Christian Callendar all saw promising qualifying positions slipping away from them as a result of contact. Myatt staged an impressive comeback from 17th to finish in 5th. Trevor Williams' car suffered a damaged undertray, with the noise it made as it drove past bringing tears to the eyes of even the hardiest marshall!
